Salsify (PIM) Developer

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Development & Configuration

• Configure and customize Salsify PIM to support product data onboarding, enrichment, validation, and publishing workflows.
• Design and implement product data models (attributes, families, relationships, hierarchies) aligned to business and channel needs.
• Build rules, validations, and governance mechanisms to improve data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.

Integrations & Data Operations

• Develop and maintain integrations between Salsify and upstream/downstream systems (eCommerce, ERP, DAM, marketplaces) using APIs and data feeds.
• Support bulk imports/exports, transformations, and mapping for large catalogs; troubleshoot data issues and optimize performance.
• Monitor jobs, resolve failures, and implement logging/alerts to ensure reliable data pipelines.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver features iteratively.
• Produce clear technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in code/config reviews, testing, and release activities; mentor junior team members where applicable.

AI Enablement

• Leverage AI-assisted approaches to improve product content enrichment, categorization, and data quality checks where feasible.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive PIM tasks using intelligent workflows and assist in prototyping improvements.

Technical and Professional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• BE, ME, BTECH, MTECH, MCA, MSC, MBA.
• 3–5 years of overall experience with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Salsify (PIM) development/configuration.
• Strong understanding of PIM concepts: product modeling, taxonomy, data governance, validation, and channel syndication.
• Experience working with APIs and structured data formats (JSON/CSV/XML) for integrations and data exchange.
• Ability to troubleshoot data/workflow issues and deliver solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
