Windows Infrastructure & Patching Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows infrastructure environments, ensuring availability, performance, and operational stability.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Windows patching cycles (monthly/adhoc), including pre-checks, deployment, and post-validation.
• Perform patch impact analysis, risk assessment, and scheduling aligned with maintenance windows and change governance.
• Troubleshoot patching failures and infrastructure issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
• Maintain patch compliance reporting, dashboards, and audit-ready documentation for stakeholders and security teams.
• Coordinate with application owners to validate services after patching and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support Windows Server administration activities such as health checks, capacity monitoring, and incident/problem management.
• Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and continuous improvements for patching and infrastructure operations.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• 5–11 years of hands-on experience in Windows infrastructure operations and Windows patching management.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows and Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience executing patching processes with clear validation steps, rollback planning, and change coordination.
• Proven troubleshooting skills across Windows infrastructure, including patch-related failures and service disruptions.
