Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced AVEVA PI System Engineer/Consultant with strong expertise in implementing, administering, upgrading, and supporting PI System environments within the Oil & Gas domain. The role requires hands-on experience with PI infrastructure, interfaces, historian architecture, troubleshooting, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, configure, and support AVEVA PI System environments.
• Install, implement, upgrade, and administer PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), and PI Vision components.
• Configure and maintain PI Interfaces including PI OPC DA, PI-to-PI, PI UFL, and PI RDBMS Interfaces.
• Support deployment of new PI System architectures and infrastructure enhancements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 4–7 years of experience working with AVEVA PI System solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
- PI Data Archive (PI DA)
- PI Asset Framework (PI AF)
- PI Vision
• Experience in:o AVEVA PI System Installation, Implementation, Upgrade and Configuration.o Installing and configuring PI Interfaces PI OPC DA, PI to PI, PI UFL, PI RDBMSo Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server and PowerShello Implementation of new architecture of PI Systemo Experience with PI System upgrades and patch managemento Demonstrated ability to resolve complex production issues• Experience implementing new PI System architectures and modernization initiatives.

- Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
- Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system
- Ensuring that code is error free or has no bugs and test failure
- Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities and status
- Ensure all the codes are raised as per the norm defined for project / program / account with clear description and replication patterns

- Documenting very necessary details and reports in a formal way for proper understanding of software from client proposal to implementation
