Responsibilities

Production Support & Monitoring

Monitor daily ETL workflows, mappings, and jobs in PowerCenter and IICS

Ensure timely execution of batch jobs and meet SLA commitments

Perform initial triage and resolve production issues quickly

Incident & Problem Management

Troubleshoot failures in sessions, workflows, and integrations

Analyze logs and identify root causes for data issues

Work on incident management tools (ServiceNow, Jira)

Provide permanent fixes for recurring issues

Informatica PowerCenter (PC) Support

Support PowerCenter environments (10.x)

Monitor Repository Service, Integration Service

Debug session errors and optimize workflows

Perform deployment/migration across environments

IICS (Informatica Cloud) Support

Monitor IICS jobs, task flows, and mappings

Manage Secure Agent (installation, upgrades, troubleshooting)

Handle connectivity issues between cloud and on-prem systems

Support application integration and data integration pipelines

Data Validation & Quality Checks

Perform data validation and reconciliation

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

Work with data quality tools if required (IDQ – optional)

Scheduling & Automation

Manage job scheduling tools:

Control-M / Autosys / Informatica Scheduler

Develop shell scripts for automation and monitoring

Ensure dependencies and workflows are executed correctly

Performance Optimization

Identify performance bottlenecks in workflows and mappings

Optimize queries and transformation logic

Tune sessions for better throughput

Database & Integration Support

Work closely with databases:

Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.

Optimize SQL queries and connections

Handle source/target data issues
