Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

SCCM Infrastructure & OS Deployment

• Design, build, and maintain SCCM OSD (Operating System Deployment).
• Create and maintain Task Sequences for:

o Bare metal builds

o Refresh & replace scenarios

o In place OS upgrades

• Manage boot images, OS images (WIMs), and distribution points.
• Maintain driver packages and hardware model repositories.
• Ensure optimized content distribution across DPs.

Image Engineering & Standardization

• Build and maintain enterprise standard Windows 10/11 images.
• Integrate security tools, agents, and baseline configurations.
• Apply post build customizations and quality checks.
• Ensure image compliance with organizational security policies.
• Regularly update images with:

o OS patches

o Application versions

o Configuration changes

Application Packaging & Deployment

• Package and deploy applications using:

o MSI

o EXE

o Script based installers

• Implement application detection methods and requirements.
• Integrate application installs within Task Sequences.
• Manage application supersedence and dependency logic.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Troubleshoot SCCM OSD issues using:

o SMSTS.log

o CMTrace

o Client logs

• Resolve:

o PXE boot failures

o Task Sequence errors

o Driver conflicts

o Application install failures during imaging

• Provide L2/L3 support for imaging related incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop PowerShell scripts for:

o Pre and post OS deployment tasks

o System validation and cleanup

o Custom logic within Task Sequences

• Automate repetitive imaging and deployment tasks.

Documentation & Operations

• Create and maintain:

o Imaging SOPs

o Build guides

o Troubleshooting runbooks

• Support audits and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with:

o Network

o Security

o Desktop Support teams

Technical and Professional Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands on experience with SCCM/MECM (Current Branch).
• Expertise in OSD Task Sequences.
• Experience managing Windows 10 / Windows 11 images.
• Deep understanding of:

o PXE boot

o WinPE

o Driver injection

• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with application packaging and deployment.

Preferred Skills

• SCCM
• Windows OS

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering
