Job Description
Internal Communications Specialist
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Internal Communications Specialist to shape and deliver high-impact employee communications. This role is ideal for a strong storyteller who can translate business priorities into clear, engaging narratives and drive connection, culture, and action across the organization.
With 3–5 years of relevant experience, you will play a key role in designing communication campaigns, partnering with stakeholders, and strengthening how employees experience our messages and initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Employee Communications and Campaigns
- Design and deliver internal communication strategies and campaigns that inform, engage, and inspire employees.
- Translate complex business and HR initiatives into clear, compelling, employee-friendly communication.
Content Development and Storytelling
- Create high-quality content for multiple channels, including newsletters, intranet articles, emails, leadership decks, presentations, in person and virtual events.
- Ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and brand voice across all internal communication touchpoints.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate closely with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to support culture-building, change initiatives, and key programs.
- Act as a trusted communication advisor, recommending the right channels, formats, and messages for impact.
Project Management and Execution
- Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality, and business alignment.
- Provide end-to-end communication support for internal programs, branding, promotions, and visibility initiatives.
Tools and Ways of Working
- Stay curious and adaptable, quickly learning new tools, platforms, and communication technologies as they evolve.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- Employees clearly understand organizational priorities, initiatives, and what they mean in practice.
- Communication campaigns lead to visible engagement, participation, and action—not just information sharing.
- Stakeholders view you as a trusted partner who brings clarity, structure, and an employee-first lens to communication.
- Content is relevant, timely, and aligned with business goals and organizational culture.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement roles.
Core Capabilities
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for clarity and impact.
- Good understanding of content planning, audience research, and message framing.
- Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Collaboration and Style
- Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable working with teams at all levels.
- Creative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); familiarity with intranet or digital platforms is a plus.
