Application Support Engineer Alation Manta

Responsibilities

Administrate, monitor and maintain Arena , Manta and Alation Application across all environments.

Perform routine health checks on servers and components.

Trouble shoot issues, perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents in a timely manner.

Coordinate with infrastructure, database and application teams for environmental support.

Handle ServiceNow tickets in accordance with defined SLAs.

Support Application services during server patching and maintenance activities.

Maintain standard operational documentation.

Troubleshoot connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and environmental errors.

Additional Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical and Professional Requirements

Hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.

Good knowledge of Unix/Linux administration and troubleshooting.

Experience with Python, Shell Scripting, and automation tools.

Knowledge of Git and version control processes.

Exposure to AWS and cloud-based environments.

Understanding of Hadoop Ecosystem (HDFS and Hive).

Experience in supporting production systems with SLA and on-call rotation.
