Job Description
Responsibilities
1.Strong knowledge mainframe operations or development, with a strong focus on JCL and batch processing.
2.Good knowledge and understanding of COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS database
3.Monitor and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc batch processing operations, ensuring timely completion of scheduled jobs.
4.Initiate, track, and control batch job execution using Scheduling tools.
5.Analyze batch job failures , performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
6.Troubleshoot JCL errors, application-related issues, and system-level problems affecting batch processing.
7.Perform restarts and recoveries of failed batch jobs as per defined procedures .
8.Proficiency in JCL programming and debugging.
9.Knowledge of incident management processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
10.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills and able to drive the things on own
11.Need to have ServiceNow, Jira, TWS scheduler, Control-M tool knowledge

Technical and Professional Requirements
Strong experience in Mainframe Operations and/or Development environments.
Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) programming, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of:
COBOL
CICS
DB2
IMS Database
Experience in monitoring and managing batch processing cycles (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc).
Hands-on experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as:
TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler)
Control-M
