Microfocus Enterprise Administration – Rocket Architect

Your Role

• Design and define enterprise-wide architecture solutions using Rocket Software and Micro Focus modernization platforms to support business transformation and legacy application modernization initiatives.
• Lead the assessment, migration, re-platforming, and modernization of mainframe applications, ensuring alignment with business, technology, and operational goals.
• Develop architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices for COBOL, CICS, JCL, batch processing, middleware, and distributed enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and solution architects to create scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, risk assessment, and strategic recommendations for application modernization, cloud adoption, and platform optimization programs.

Your Profile

• Experience in enterprise architecture, application modernization, and Micro Focus Enterprise Suite or Rocket Software solutions.
• Strong expertise in mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, batch processing, and integration with distributed platforms.
• Proven experience in designing modernization strategies, migration roadmaps, re-hosting, re-platforming, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, integration frameworks, security architecture, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to drive architecture decisions across large-scale enterprise programs.
