Job Description
Your Role
Join our Quality Engineering team to drive mobile test automation and quality assurance initiatives across Android and iOS platforms. As an Appium Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality software delivery through functional, UI, and API testing.
Your Profile
- Overall 7+ years of IT experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Mobile Automation Testing (Android and iOS).
- Strong expertise in Appium, Selenium, and Java.
- Experience in API Testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of automation framework design and implementation:
- Hybrid Framework
- Data-Driven Framework
- Keyword-Driven Framework
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), STLC, test methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based mobile testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.).
- Exposure to version control tools such as Git.
In This Role, You Will
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications (Android and iOS) using Appium and Selenium.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks including Hybrid, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and Behavior-Driven frameworks.
- Perform functional, UI, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Create and maintain reusable automation components and testing utilities.
- Develop tooling across the testing lifecycle, including test case management, test data generation, automated defect capture, and test reporting.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across releases.
- Analyze test results, identify quality risks, and work closely with development teams for defect resolution.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and quality reporting tools.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, quality standards, and testing best practices.
